The problems begin because of the use of EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) systems which control emissions in modern engines, especially diesels. These EGR systems take a portion of the exhaust gases and recirculate them back into the engines intake system. This process is very effective at two things, reducing emissions and depositing exhaust gas soot particles on the intake system.
Over time the EGR valve and associated pipework including the intake manifold and valves accumulate carbon deposits. These deposits inhibit flow into the intake causing poor milage, loss of power and in severe cases an engine fault code will be logged.
At NOVO, we revive components back to new condition with our top of the range cleaning baths, ultrasonic cleaners and media blasters. Each effected component is carefully removed from the engine, inspected for damage and then thoroughly cleaned - rejuvenating performance, restoring fuel economy and engine smoothness.

The regeneration process is typically initiated when the vehicle is driven on the highway and lasts for at least 30 minutes.
Modern diesels need constant highway driving to keep the DPFs clean and free flowing. If this driving style is not maintained, then the DPF will become blocked resulting in loss of power, increased fuel consumption and engine wear.
At Novo, we offer a complete cleaning solution for your DPF systems. For partially blocked DPFs we offer onboard cleaning and standing regeneration services, allowing us to get your vehicle back up and running with minimal cost. In cases where the DPFs cannot be cleaned onboard the vehicle, we can remove the unit from your vehicle and, using a state-of-the-art DPF flow bench, can clean the DPF unit back to its original state.
At NOVO, we now offer custom engine and transmission tuning, using Dynapack Dynamometers. These are hub mounted dynos that eliminate the loss experienced by wheel slip, compared to traditional rolling floor dynos. This increases sensitivity and leads to incredibly accurate run to run results. Novo leads the way in diesel tuning methods with a deep understanding of diesel engines, the way they respond to the Australian climate and the capabilities of the transmissions powering these engines.

Diesel Fuel Injectors supply the correct volume of fuel at a specified time into the combustion chamber to be burnt. Modern injectors are electronically controlled and can operate multiple times a second. Without regular maintenance, they are prone to becoming clogged. At NOVO, we have state-of-the-art machinery that allows us to flow test, rebuild and re-code common rail injectors back to OEM Standards.
