    With our Engine Failure Warranty, you can drive confidently knowing your investment in performance is protected. For brand new European vehicles (such as BMW, Audi, VW, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz, and some others), this warranty covers the gap caused by the loss of Manufacture’s warranty in respect of your engine caused by tuning a new vehicle. It covers the full or remaining term of your manufacturer’s original warranty – safeguarding you where manufacturers leave off.

    What’s Covered?

    Our warranty protects the engine components that, if failure occurs, would typically not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty on a tuned vehicle. If any of the following components fail on a Novo AVS tuned vehicle, we cover the full cost of repair or replacement:

    • Pistons

    • Connecting rods (con rods)

    • Crankshaft

    • Head gasket

    • Valves

    • Turbocharger (bearings only)

    What’s Not Covered?

    Our warranty does not cover any parts that are typically covered by the manufacturer warranty or not directly impacted by any Novo AVS tuning, such as:

    • Engine ancillaries (water pumps, injectors, timing chains)

    • Camshafts

    • Gaskets and seals

    • Electrical and wiring systems

    • Fuel and charging systems

    • Cooling system components

    • Items damaged due to abuse, lack of servicing or use of incorrect fuel.

    • Items damaged due to components/works not installed or approved by NOVO AVS

    • Any failure to the extent that is otherwise covered and able to be claimed under Dealer Warranty or a Manufacturer Warranty.

    • Failure arising from normal wear and tear

    • Parts that have not failed

    • Consequential loss or damage of any kind except unavoidable mechanical damage cause by the failure of the component. 

    • Oil consumption issues.

    Policy Cancellation 

    The policy will cease, and No Cover provided under the policy for any vehicle which:

    • Is being used or has been used:

    ·         In competitions, rallies or any offroad or racing conditions

    ·         For carrying and/or towing loads above the gross combined weight of your trailer and vehicle as specified by the manufacturer.

    ·         For car rental.

    ·         For carrying passengers for hire or reward.

    ·         For delivery or courier use.

    • Is unroadworthy or unregistered.

    • Has an odometer reading that has been tampered with

    What happens if you sell your vehicle?

    Your policy may be transferred to the new owner at our discretion. 

    Transfer can occur only if the Manufacturer's recommended service schedule has been maintained, please contact Novo AVS within 14 days after the sale has occurred. A transfer fee of $80 is applicable to all transfer applications. 

    Manufacturer Warranty Integration

    In cases where a component is not covered due to manufacturer fault (rather than tuning), the manufacturer’s original warranty should apply. Novo AVS’s Engine Failure Warranty covers tuning-related issues, bridging the gap to provide you with continuous, comprehensive protection.

    12-Month Software Re-Tune Guarantee

    In addition to engine coverage, all Novo AVS tunes come with a 12-month re-tune guarantee, which includes full reinstallation of software should it be reset during dealer servicing or a software update.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    To maintain coverage, all required maintenance must be performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Warranty claims require proof of servicing (logbook and receipts).

    How to make a claim 

    All claims and repairs are made on site at Novo AVS at 38-40 Anzac Pde Kensington. Please contact the office on 9037 2032 immediately after an issue is encountered.

    Claim period

    This cover applies to the remaining manufacturer’s warranty period, unless otherwise stated. 

  • Every Novo AVS tune also comes with a 12-month re-tune guarantee. If your software is reset during dealer servicing or a software update, our team will reinstall it at no additional cost to you, ensuring you always have the performance you invested in.

  • To keep your warranty valid, simply follow your manufacturer’s maintenance schedule and keep a record of all servicing. Warranty claims require proof of service (logbook and receipts) through Novo AVS or our trusted partner, VW Village.

At NOVO we now offer custom engine and transmission tuning, using Dynapack Dynamometers. These are hub mounted dynos that eliminate the loss experienced by wheel slip, compared to traditional rolling floor dynos. This increases sensitivity and leads to incredibly accurate run to run results.

On top of our custom tuning software we offer additional hardware and software changes such as:

When driving in a higher gear, this extra fuel efficiency comes in handy because the motor is programmed to rev less, resulting in less fuel being injected as you sit in that higher gear.

Diesel Tuning

Novo AVS specialises in diesel tuning with a deep understand of the mechanics and capabilities of modern diesel engines. Diesel engine tuning allows for increased power across the mid - high rev range whilst retaining and further developing the diesel’s powerful low rev torque. Tuning a diesel engine can result in better fuel economy, greater power gains across the entire rev range and prolong the health of your diesel engine. Our stage 1 ECU and TCU diesel tuning packages can give up to 40% power gains whilst retaining original factory engine parts. This does not cause harm to the engine rather utilises the full potential of these already quality parts inside your European vehicle.

NOVO’S COMPLETE PERFORMANCE TUNING LIST

  • Engine tuning refers to the modification of the operating parameters of the engine control unit to achieve a set goal. Usually an increase in power, decrease in fuel consumption or both. This is achieved by locating and modifying the sections of the engines software (referred to as engine maps) that control the turbo, injection and ignition, torque output and torque limiters.

    Using our dyno and advance datalogging power increase of up to 40% can be achieved on standard vehicles. Higher increases can be achieved using a combination of hardware modifications and software tuning.

  • Just like your engine ecu, transmission control units (TCU) can be tuned to achieve a set goal. Adjusting the transmission allows for significant changes to the way your vehicle drives. Just some of the benefits include:

    • Shift time reduction.

    • Rev limit adjustments.

    • Launch control Adjustment/ Activation.

    • Increase torque limitations.

    • Shift point adjustments for a more exciting drive.

    • Oil Pressure adjustment to extend the life of your transmission.

  • By adjusting the fuel cut off delay and ignition timing of your engines tuning maps we can create a sportier and more aggressive exhaust tone.

    As you lift your foot off the throttle, your exhaust starts popping, crackling and gurgling, which adds a whole lot of fun and character to your driving experience.

  • The exhaust flap is a valve installed on the rear of your exhaust system. Its job is to reduce exhaust noise, especially on idle. By disabling this flap we can create a deep but subtle exhaust tone without any exhaust modifications.

  • Everyone knows how annoying and dangerous the start stop system can be. Especially since you need to disable it every time you start your vehicle. We can now permanently turn your start stop system off saving you the hassle of having to switch it off yourself.

  • Late model BMWs have sport gauges that display horsepower and torque. These gauges generally need to be recalibrated to display the correct values after the vehicle is tuned.

  • The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) performs the function of filtering fine particles in your exhaust system. While these systems need to stay in place to satisfy pollution laws, there are situations where their removal is not only legal but also necessary (for example race or off road vehicles).

    The benefits of removing the DPF system are the following:

    Increased power.

    Increase in fuel efficiency.

    Better exhaust tone.

  • The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) performs the function of recirculating your exhaust gases back into your intake system. This has a positive effect on reducing emissions and fuel consumption in your vehicle. While this system needs to stay in place to satisfy pollution laws, there are situations where their removal is not only legal but also necessary (for example race or off road vehicles).

    The benefits of removing the EGR system are the following:

    Reduced soot build-up in your intake manifold and ports.

    The EGR system is very prone to failure. Removal has the benefit of lower maintenance costs.

    Less oil contamination.

  • The AdBlue system performs the function of spraying a solution into your exhaust system that’s reduces harmful pollutants. This has a positive effect on reducing emissions in your vehicle. While this system needs to stay in place to satisfy pollution laws, there are situations where their removal is not only legal but also necessary (for example race or off road vehicles).

    The benefits of removing the AdBlue system are the following:

    Removes the need for constant AdBlue refills.
